What’s Happening at This Year’s Retreat?

This year’s Retreat — the Fellowship’s fourteenth! — at Pocahontas State Park is getting set to be a great few days of food, fellowship and fun!

We’ll arrive any time after 3pm on Friday, October 9th, making our way to the Algonquian Ecology Camp area where we’ll choose our cabins.  There’ll be dinner in the Powhatan Dining Hall lodge, followed by evening worship and then time around the campfire.

We’ll get off to a great start on Saturday with a delicious breakfast.  Amongst the activities planned so far are: a workshop on “Friedman’s Fables” with the Williamsburg UUs’ new interim minister, Rev. Dave Johnson; T-shirt printing; an eco-geo-chemo-physico-spiritual walk in the woods; an introduction to the Enneagram; a Nature labyrinth; yoga; and kayaking on the lake.  (If you’d like to offer an indoor or outdoor activity, just let me know!)  There’s always the park itself to be explored at any time, too!  Before dinner we’ll enjoy a group game of puzzles to be solved and tasks to be completed, and the evening will continue with another great worship and more s’mores around the fire!

After another nourishing breakfast Sunday morning, we’ll tidy up the lodge, pack up our cabins, and head back home after a wonderful weekend!

Haven’t signed up yet?  Well, don’t wait another minute!  You can register right now by going to: http://bit.ly/UUFP14R

  1. So no Sunday worship? And do you need me to bring a keyboard or play for any worship services?

  2. Lehni says:

I thought it was in October? Sept 26th? A typo perhaps?
