This Sunday, March 23, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Peninsula begins a new era!
Starting last year, the Sunday Services Committee has been working methodically to address the problems of our aging pulpit. Following a congregational “town hall meeting”, a Pulpit Design Committee was formed to develop possible designs for a new pulpit, and then a scale model was displayed for congregational input. Then, following further input, “the committee” built it, and this Sunday, March 23, we dedicate it!
The new pulpit — which was completed on time and under budget — has design elements that blend with our current Sanctuary space. The old pulpit, which has been with us since we moved to the Fellowship’s current location, will be decommissioned on Sunday, too. This is a unique moment in the life of any congregation, so please come to services this Sunday morning and share in this special event that may not come again for a long, long time!
