There are many things to look forward to in February.

High school youth have been invited to attend Charlotte CON February 7th-9th. Rosalee, Joanne and 4 teens will enjoy the weekend at Hunger CON! Joanne will participate in the youth advisor training on Saturday.

All are invited to the Game Night hosted by the Membership Committee on February 8th at 6:30 in the sanctuary building. We had a lot of people attend the game night in January. Everyone seemed to have a great time laughing, eating and playing a variety of games. Bring a snack to share.

Sunday, Feb. 9th Fellowship Friends will meet to discover the identities of their pen pals. There will be a luncheon right after second service for the participants of the Fellowship Friends Program. Participants are welcome to bring a small gift for their friend. Examples include a drawing, poem, favorite joke, re-gift. Meanwhile, don’t forget to write your letters and bring them to church or send them via email to Brandy.

The Youth Group has decided to try second Wednesdays at 6:30 for their new meeting time. So middle and high school students mark your calendars and plan to come to the Fellowship on Wednesday February 12.

The following Sunday in Got Kids (Feb. 16th after second service) children will make care packages to send to our college students. I can assure you that the college students really look forward to these and really appreciate them when they arrive. Last year I saw several of the recipients post pictures of their care packages on Facebook with comments like “My church is the best church ever!” Parents if you have a student in college please send me their addresses so we can get the packages mailed. Congregants are encouraged to donate packaged snack foods or other care items.

We started our Coming of Age program in January. We have a wonderful group of teachers and mentors working with our students. It promises to be an enriching experience for all.

We are continuing to collect money for Guest at Your Table. Look for the big box at potlucks and the soup socials.

See You In The RE!
