Out of this World Auction
by Judy Remsberg
The Annual Service Auction committee is gearing up for another fabulous fun time with trips, food, activities with friends and items to purchase.
Be thinking about something you could offer that might fit into this year’s theme of “Out of This World” (Since we went around the world last year, the only place left was OUT OF THIS WORLD!) If you have a suggestion for something you would like to bid on, let us know that as well and we’ll try to find a donor.
Please go to http://www.uufp.org/auctionsignup.htm to submit your offering, or email Judy Remsberg at firstname.lastname@example.org

Take a step to help end hunger.
The UUFP is once again joining with area churches for the annual CROP WALK.
The walk will be October 13, 1:30- 4:00, starting at North Riverside Baptist Church.
You can help in three ways:
Walk the walk which represents the 3 kilometers that many people in the world have to travel daily to get water.
Donate cookies for the walkers and of course, donate money. You can donate online at http://hunger.cwsglobal.org and type in UUFP in the lower right hand corner.
Sign up to walk, donate or bake cookies with Carey Hall-Warner between services or email email@example.com.
If you have any questions, call Carey at 224-5213.
Between services on September 29, the RE children will be baking and selling cookies to benefit the CROP walk.
Fifty cents a cookie for tasty out of the oven goodness to help end hunger.
Any visitors will be free.
Fall Orientation Workshop
by Bobbie Schilling
When: The Fellowship’s next Orientation workshop will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 9am
Where: Meet with us at the UUFP
This is a program for visitors as well as existing members of our congregation who want to learn more about our chosen faith and our beloved community.
Whether you’re new to Unitarian Universalism or not, the orientation is strongly recommended prior to making the commitment to join, since it’s a great opportunity to learn more about the Fellowship as well as to get to know some of our other members.
The class will briefly cover the background of both Unitarian Universalism and our Fellowship, but the primary emphasis is on what it means to be a member, the various activities in which you might want to participate, and the ways in which our congregation transforms lives.
We will start with a great breakfast at 9am and finish the workshop by noon!
Childcare will be provided if requested (please give a 2 week notice).
Questions: If you have any questions about the Orientation, contact Rev. Andrew Millard or Bobbie Schilling, Membership Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
