Children’s Focus: “The Good Stuff”

Just right for Father’s Day, Joanne will share Robert Fulghum’s touching story about his daughter, a cardboard box, a paper bag and love.

At 9:30

The In Our Hands class (preschool-5th) with Joanne will learn about interdependence of all living things on the earth. They will explore nature cycles and discuss good stewardship for our earth.

  • Home Activity: Make sure to bring your own shopping bags every time you shop this week.

In Spirit Play (3-6 year olds) with Rachel and Connie children will hear the story Love You Forever. A young woman holds her newborn son and looks at him lovingly. Softly she sings to him: “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, As long as I’m living, My baby you’ll be.”

  • Home Activity: For Father’s Day, do something extra special for your dad or parent this week.

The In Our Hands class (2nd-5th) with Mason and Patricia will learn about interdependence of all living things on the earth. They will explore nature cycles and discuss good stewardship for our earth.

  • Home Activity: Make sure to bring your own shopping bags every time you shop this week.

The Compass Points class (middle school) with Brandy will explore the second Principle and how our actions affect how we interact with others in just, equitable and compassionate ways. They will play a card game to think about the “cards they are dealt” in life.

  • Home Activity: Try playing the card game at home with family or friends.

The Neighboring Faiths class (high school) will go on their final church visit this morning. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Address: 113 Sinclair Ln, Yorktown, VA 23693

Phone:(757) 868-7739. The service starts at 9:00 and should end around 10:15. At that point students will return to the Fellowship to talk about what they learned.
