Kids are graduating from college with more debt than any time in history with the job outlook being very poor. Unions are in decline, the government bowing down to big corporations. Manufacturing jobs are being outsourced. We all can’t just deliver pizza to each other. People with master degrees and years of experience are now unemployed for the first time. History clearly shows what happen to societies that allow major inequities to exist, they go extinct. The poor in America may be the elderly who skip meals to pay for medicine or the kid on free lunch at school who that will be his only meal, but they are still poor. I don’t think we need to compare who is the poorest. We need to help as a community, society, and as a country.
